Vucic tries to persuade Dodik not to hold the Referendum in RS?

vucicAleksandar Vucic will try to persuade Milorad Dodik, the President of Republika Srpska, not to hold a referendum on the Court and the Prosecutor’s Office in that entity of B&H, which is scheduled for the 15th of November.

As unofficially heard from sources close to the Government of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic considers that the referendum would cause the conflicts and destabilization of B&H, which would expand it to the entire region.

“In the upcoming days, the Prime Minister of Serbia will try to convince Milorad Dodik to give up on the intentions of holding a referendum in Republika Srpska. Aleksandar Vucic considers that such a referendum would destabilize already fragile stability of B&H as well as the entire region,” as highlighted by interlocutors of Danas.

We have not received official confirmation if the issue of the upcoming referendum in the RS will be on the agenda at the first joint sitting of the Government of Serbia and the Council of Ministers of B&H, which is being held today in Sarajevo. However, it is certain that since it was issued, it is burdening the relations in B&H, and many local and foreign officials warn that the application of the results from referendum could bring new war to this country.
