The first Vice President of the Croatian Government and the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Vesna Pusić held a bilateral meeting with the Deputy of the Representative of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Zlatko Lagumdžija, at the Conference in Dublin.

The Minister Pusić said that the stabilization of the current situation in the region depends on the responsibility of the region itself. She also added how these meeting are very helpful. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Zlatko Lagumdžija expressed his gratitude to Minister Pusić for her help in the process of the Euro-Atlantic integrations of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Lagumdžija also talked about the preparations for a meeting that will be held in Brussels on the 19thDecember, where they could technically close some of the current issues between these two countries. He also pointed out that both countries feel the need and hope to settle all issues as soon as possible. The topic of this meeting will be the resolution of the issue connected to border crossing,or the BIP, and the question of the passage through Neum, or the port Ploče.

“Issues have to be settled at least on the technical level. We hope to make progress, so by the end of the first half of 2013, we will have the results of our agreement that concerns the border crossing and the question of the possible passage trough Neum in order for the City of Dubrovnik to be fully integrated in the EU”- said Minister Lagumdžija.

The minister also pointed out that if this agreement is reached then all goods passing through Ploče or Neum should have a free pass. Minister Lagumdžija reminded the Commission about the project and the issues concerning the Pelješac bridge and has said that they have to make a report that will contain opinions of the representatives of both countries.
