For unknown reasons, the planned joint session of the governments of Serbia and Republika Srpska (RS), which was supposed to be held in Belgrade on February 14th and 15, has been postponed, it was found out. The great assembly of Serbia and RS, which was supposed to be held on January 27th, was also quietly canceled.
The Prime Minister of the RS, Radovan Viskovic, said ten days ago that a joint session of the governments of RS and Serbia was planned for February 14th and 15th.
“It is Sretenje – Serbian Statehood Day, and the session should be held in Serbia. I am glad that the cooperation between RS and Serbia is at the highest level, thanks to Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and BiH Presidency member Milorad Dodik,” Viskovic said then.
But, as it was found out, the mentioned session was canceled, which was confirmed from Banja Luka.
“The joint session of the governments of RS and the Republic of Serbia will not be held on the specified date, and the public will be informed about the new date of the joint session in a timely manner,” the RS government told.
Namely, the fact that the great assembly of Serbia and RS, which was supposed to be held on January 27th after the pompous announcement, was canceled, also proves that it was not done by accident.
This was announced by Milorad Dodik on January 14th, after a meeting with Vucic in the Belgrade villa “Mir”. What happened is also unknown.
On Friday night, Belgrade’s Blic published information that European diplomats will not attend the celebration of Serbia’s National Day in Orasac because BiH Presidency member Milorad Dodik, a politician under expanded sanctions by the United States (U.S.) who is threatened with European isolation for undermining the BiH Constitution and the Dayton Peace Agreement, announced his presence.
The ambassadors of the European Union (EU) member states are obviously dissatisfied with the support provided by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic to secessionists from RS, and a source in the Serbian media mentioned that because of that Serbia is now facing a great challenge, ie some kind of ultimatum from the international community.
Perhaps the cancellation of joint sessions at a time when Dodik is continuing his unconstitutional activities is an indicator of which path Belgrade will take.
