What is the Average Number of Workers employed on Construction Sites?

The average number of workers employed on construction sites by legal entities in 2017 was 19.969 and represents an increase of 1.6% as compared to 2016, while the number of hours worked on construction sites increased by 4.7% compared to the previous year.

Value of construction works done carried out by workers at construction sites in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2017 decreased by 3.4% as compared to 2016.

According to BiH’s Agency for Statistics, by types of construction, the proportion of works done on buildings was 43.4%, and 56.6% on civil engineering.

In 2017 the number of completed buildings by legal entities was 309, thereof 36.6% residential and 63.4% non- residential buildings.

Area of completed buildings was 478.966 m2, which was 6.2% more compared to 2016.

The number of completed dwellings in 2017 is 2.987, representing the increase of 7.9% compared to 2016.

Average useful floor area of completed dwellings was 54.2 m2.
