He, as keynote speaker at Sunday session of the Association of Independent Intellectuals Circle 99, on the topic “Agriculture and food – truths and deceptions”, said that one of the ways to increase food production is involvement of young people.

“The solution is to make agriculture more attractive to young people,” he said.

That, he emphasized, demands changes in the educational system, as well as number of activities that should be implemented as soon as possible.

Besides the engagement of young people, he believes that food production should be connected to tourism, and that experts who follow the trends should be engaged.

“Regardless of the fact that BH economy is burdened with numerous disadvantages, there is a solution,” concluded Fejzic.

The fact that food production is the future was confirmed by the owner and director of Arifagic Investment from Kozarac, Jusuf Arifagic. He developed the company on the Norwegian model of livestock breeding.

“I brought the model and achievements that Norwegian farmers gained 80 years ago in Kozarac. Everything that Norwegians did, I proved in my work that it can work here,” said Arifagic.

He is sure that this model can give good results on the territory of the entire country and beyond, and according to him, scientific institutions and farmers should contribute to this.

He invited everyone interesting, whether if they are involved in the production of food or want to see how he managed to do it, to exchange opinions and experiences.

“Our future is in joint work,” stated Arifagic.

He also emphasized the importance of healthy animal feed, and stated that BiH land has everything needed in order to provide the highest quality food for animals. Therefore, he said, there is no room for genetically modified food.

He believes that BiH could quickly become a giant in the production of healthy animal feed, which is also a precondition for healthy food for people.
