13023415_1759240384312638_1282038361_nConsidering the report on the health status of the population of the FBiH in 2014, several deputies at yesterday’s session of the House of Representatives of the Federal Parliament said that they should have a special session, which would be dedicated exclusively to the state of health and health care in the FBiH.

Deputies did not give the consent for the report itself.

The report shows that in the FBiH in 2014, most of the people died because of heart attack and stroke, and then because of the consequences of malignant diseases, including cancer, primarily the lung cancer.

Causes of mortality are similar to those from 2010, said one of the discussants.

The report shows a higher appearance of obesity, including in children under 5 years. There are more infectious diseases, measles, which is a result of irregular vaccination or anti-vaccine campaign, as stated on the session.

According to one of the discussants, the report implies that “we are becoming an old society” and that the natality is declining and it is higher than mortality only in Sarajevo and Tuzla Canton.

Residents of the FBiH live in average from 74 to 76 years, as stated on the session.
