The winter town was officially opened in Mostar last night. Many citizens attended the opening of the long-awaited Christmas fair and more than 60 exhibitors presented their handicrafts, artworks, delicatessen and other items at the plateau in the campus of the University of Mostar, on the area of 4.500 square meters.

The ribbon was cut by the Mayor of Mostar Ljubo Bešlić. The event will last for the next 40 days in the campus of the University of Mostar and more than 200 different contents will be organized on two stages.

This event is organized by the association “Advent”. They announced that every day from 9 am until midnight there will be action and fun on the stages and streets of the winter city, and entrance is free.

“The youngest visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy and participate in drama workshops and plays for kids organized by the Small Theatre, as well as in performances by majorettes, children bands, dance groups, magicians, clowns and animators,” the organizers stated.

Santa Clause and his elves will visit Advent every day. For adult visitors a large stage is reserved, where DJ program will begin every morning at 9 am, live performances will be held during the day, and central concert will be held at 9 pm.

Advent booths offer different delicatessen, sweet and salty, as well as different handicrafts, trees, Christmas jewelry, winter hats and scarves, and the ice skating rink has been installed for the lovers of skating.
