The opening of the winter tourist season on Vlasic Mountain started with the competition in preparing the best beans soup.
On the area of Babanovac gathered restaurateurs, chefs, tourism professionals from the Central Bosnia Canton and seven ski resorts.
Samir Sefer, the owner of the apartment on Vlasic, prepared traditional Travnik beans soup.
“We’re doing the standard beans soup with cooked bones, and we make it with that water. This is our Travnik beans soup also known as Travnik kebab. We use everything homemade. Our beans, onions, prosciutto, parsley, are all homemade, but we will not reveal our secrets ingredients,” said Sefer.
Zeljko Grubesic and his colleague Bojan Pusic represented Busovacka Mountain and ski resort Pridolci.
“We came to the opening of the tourist season. We are preparing Busovaca beans soup. It’s made like every other classic beans soup but we also use some special ingredients that we would not reveal this time. We hoped for the victory last year, but we missed it. We believe that we had the best beans soup, but we did not win. We had a lot of meat in a pot, and just few beans,” said Zeljko with a smile.
Opening ceremony of the winter tourist season on Mount Vlasic was held in the afternoon hours.
