exhibition3Works of ten BiH student from the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo were presented at the exhibition “Women in the world of art” that was opened at the EU Info Center.

Head of Operations Social Development, Civil Society and Cross-Border Cooperation Section Massimo Mina thanked the artists for their original works with the theme of gender equality.

“This is an excellent opportunity for the European Commission to mark International Women’s Day. We decided to present that which is the highlight of expression of BiH women, the art and the creative industry,” said Mina.

Noting that in the process of accession to the European Union, fundamental rights are very important, he pointed out that the equal representation of women and men in all areas of life is one of such principles.

With the exhibition “Women in the world of art,” the European Union Delegation to BiH wanted to encourage young artists in BiH to express their creativity, and play an active role in society.

All art lovers can come to the EU Info Centre in the building of the EU Delegation to BiH (Skenderija 3a) to see the exhibition from 9th until 18th March from Monday-Friday 9:30 a.m.-17:30 o’clock.
