”The Olympic Center /OC/ “Jahorina” has started work on the renovation and construction of the Ski Center “Igrista” near Vlasenica, for which 42 million BAM will be allocated, ” said the director of the OC “Jahorina” Dejan Ljevnaic.

”Ljevnaic pointed out that more than a year ago, his team created the development project of the Ski Center “Igrista”, which was elaborated in detail by stages and investments, and has great potential to be an attractive tourist destination, ” it was announced from OC “Jahorina”.

“We are starting from scratch and we have a chance to create the best ski center,“ emphasized Ljevnaic and specified that, in addition to the snowmaking system, two ski slopes, the construction of cable cars, lakes for artificial snowmaking, conveyor belts, tubing paths and entertainment content, as well as parking and all related content is also planned.

Ljevnaic said that the construction of the “Igrista” Ski Center will create a new dimension in the development of skiing and enable the local population to live better.

“We saw with the example of Jahorina that tourism is the driver of the economy, and I am sure that this region will also have many benefits from the launch of this ski center. Vlasenica and Han Pijesak will get new investors, new jobs in the hotel industry, tourism and domestic food production. Only we, as OC “Jahorina”, will employ at least 100 people in the “Igrista” business unit, and indirectly at least 2.000 jobs will depend on our work,” said Ljevnaic.

He stressed that the visionary team of the center has shown through its successful business in Jahorina that by choosing the right projects, quick implementation and good management, it achieves great results.
