The Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Gordana Tadić, held a Collegium of all prosecutors of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH.

There was a discussion on the work plan and activities for achieving as good results as possible in 2021 despite the difficult conditions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. Activities were proposed and analysed with the aim of carrying out as many work tasks as possible and achieving results in the current year.

The Collegium approved the amendment to the Rulebook on the Internal Organisation of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which will enable the merging of the Special Department for Organised Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption and Department III. These changes within the Special Department for Organised Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption envisage the establishment of a separate Department for Combating Smuggling of People and Trafficking in Human Beings, with the aim of more efficient work of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH and achieving better results in the institution.

Moreover, the meeting discussed the measures and activities that need to be taken in the coming period in the work of the Special Department for War Crimes and the Special Department for Organised Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption.

The Collegium also discussed the activities of the Coordination Team of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH for activities in the Covid-19 pandemic, which monitors the epidemiological situation and recommendations of relevant authorities, in order to protect the health of both employees and persons who come into contact with the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH.

The Prosecutor’s Office of BiH continues to work within its competencies to strengthen the rule of law in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
