World Bank: Growth of 2.8 % predicted for BiH in 2016

growthAccording to the latest South East Europe Regular Economic Report (SEERER) for 2016, for BiH is forecasted continued growth, which will open the way for increase of employment and reduce of poverty.

“For 2016 is projected growth of 2.8 %, which is slightly less than 3 % in 2015, with forecasts to reach 3.7 % in 2018, if the structural reforms are implemented according to the plan,” said economist of the World Bank in BiH, Sandra Hlivnjak, on the presentation of the report in Sarajevo.

It is expected for the economic growth at the regional level to reach 2.7 % in 2016, which represents an increase compared to 2.2 % in 2015. The continued acceleration of growth is expected in 2017 and 2018.

The World Bank presented today the 10th in a series of reports on recent economic developments in the countries of South East Europe (SEE6 – Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo, Macedonia and Serbia).
