XXIX International Festival ”Sarajevo Winter” starts today

Starting today, 7 February, and in the next month and a half, artists from all over the world will come to Sarajevo to participate at the 29th International Festival ”Sarajevo Winter’’, whose motto this year is ”Art of Touch”.

The entire program of opening will start in the morning by giving the award of Internatioan Peace Centre in Brus-bezistan, which is awarded to prominent individuals and organisations who gave contribution to development and affirmation of human rights.

After that, in different locations of Sarajevo (Bosniak Institute, Gallery Collegium Artisticum, Historical Museum,etc)  there will be many events, while the central manifestation will be held in the building of BiH  Parliamentary Assembly.

During this day, visitors will be able to see the exhibition of Joel Elgin from Ireland, installation of group ”Nine Dragon Heads” from Korea, projection ”Gloves” by Mario Gerussi, performance of ensemble of folk songs and dances ”Kolo bosansko”, Association of artists ”Belarte”, of choir ”Belatisimo” and dance club ”Astoria”.

With the play ”A Midsummer Night’s Dream” by W. Shakespeare and performed by Hungarian group ”Coincidance”, the opening ceremony will be finished.
