parking zonaThe new rules and prices of parking in Canton Sarajevo will be effective from the 1st of April this year, as announced from the CPUC Rad.

From CPUC Rad also said that horizontal signalization has to be done first and that streets in the zero zone of parking were already determined.

Regulation from 1998 is currently in force in Canton Sarajevo and the novelty is the introduction of another parking zone – the zero zone which includes nine streets in the heart of the city: Aščiluk, Branilaca Sarajeva, Ćemaluša, Ćumurija, Despićeva, Gimnazijska, Hadžiristića, Kulovića, Radićeva, Safvet-bega Bašagića to Patke, Sagrdžije to Ćemerlina and Zelenih beretki Street.

The first zone is consisted of a public parking lot in Canton Sarajevo in 74 streets of the Municipality of Stari Grad and Centar, while the second parking zone includes a total of 78 streets.

The price of a parking ticket is 2 BAM in zero and the first parking zone per hour, with the maximum retention in the zero zone limited to 2 hours. The price of one hour of parking in the second zone is 1 BAM.

Unlike previous practice, with the new decision, the natural persons who are not residents in the street have the possibility to purchase a monthly parking ticket at a price of 100 BAM. This ticket for legal persons that do not have headquarters in these streets will cost 200 BAM.
