FM Crnadak met with Ambassador of Israel

crnadak meeting BiH Israel ambasadorMinister of Foreign Affairs of BiH Igor Crnadak met yesterday in Banja Luka with the Ambassador of Israel in BiH Boaz Rodkin. During the meeting, Crnadak stressed that BiH is committed to further improvement of mutual relations with Israel, which was specifically confirmed by a recent visit of the BiH Presidency Chairman Mladen Ivanic to Jerusalem.

Moreover, minister Crnadak said that the situation with Republika Srpska’s (RS) representatative office in Israel is very unpleasant, but that he hopes that it will not affect the Israel’s relations with BiH, as well as relations with the RS.

In addition, Crnadak emphasized that officials of Republika Srpska are met with the seriousness of the views of the Government of Israel on this issue and expressed the hope that Republika Srpska’s institutions will do all they need to overcome the existing problems.

During the meeting, Crnadak emphasized that the issue of Holocaust Victims is of greatimportance for BiH and that the high delegation of BiH, led by the Presidency of BiH, recently visited the Holocaust Museum, Jad Vasem.

In addition to the previously said, Crnadak will attend the Holocaust Conference on 26 April in Brussels, where he will address the opening of the conference, together with the President of the European Parliament, Antoni Tajaniah, and Israel’s Ambassador to the EU, Ronnie Leshno-Yaar.

Both interlocutors stated that activities in bilateral relations between BiH and Israel will continue in both areas in the coming period.
