Security Minister: HDZ and SNSD Party block the Work of BiH’s Council of Ministers

Ministers from the Croatian People’s Union (HDZ) did not attend the session of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which was in the end cancelled.

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Zvizdic started a government session today, but HDZ ministers refused to attend the session.

Security Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina Dragan Mektic accused the HDZ of BiH and SNSD of blocking the functioning of the BiH Council of Ministers and not working in the interest of BiH citizens.

“It is about trying to block the work of the BiH Council of Ministers,” Mektić said.

He pointed out that the key indication that it was the attempt to block the work of the Council of Ministers was the announcement of Milorad Dodik, who said that Croat ministers would stop coming to the sessions.

“This is in practice and it is happening,” Mektic said.

“For me this is a classic agreement between SNSD and HDZ BiH,” he added.

The Council of Ministers of BiH on April 4 did not hold a regular session. Minister of Finance Vjekoslav Bevanda, Minister of Justice Josip Grubesa and Defense Minister Marina Pendes did not attend the session on Tuesday.
