jahorina_04The building of a gondola Pale-Jahorina is going according to schedule, and there is intensive work underway at the departure point for the construction of a tourist facility and ski slope that would extend the Jahorina paths by 15 kilometers more, said to Srna Veljko Golijanin, the Director and Owner of the company “Majneks” from Pale, which is the financier and contractor of the works.

Golijanin explained that there are currently around 25 kilometers of ski slopes, and in this way it would be supplemented with 15 kilometers more, which would allow ski enthusiasts a high level of enjoyment.

He pointed out that this company is doing everything it can to prepare for the new season of skiing, with the goal to promote gondolas that would complement the tourist facilities.

‘’The gondola will enable guests to ski on Jahorina all day, on modern tracks, and then to be in Pale for 15 minutes. This project would solve the problem of parking and crowds on Jahorina’’, said Golijanin.

He pointed out that the gondola is of historical significance, not only for the municipality, but also for the entire region, and that in this way it would directly influence the development of tourism and increase the number of sports activities, and the realization of the project would create a large number of jobs.

He said that next year in the construction season all works would be finished and that the gondola would be in function.

‘’Jahorina, Romanija and Ravno mountains are unique in the world. This natural beauty has to be better utilized and we hope that the gondola Pale-Jahorina would do much to bring tourists and that it would be a kind of tourist attraction’’, he said.
