A meeting of the leadership of the Organizing Committee for the commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the genocide against Bosniaks of the “UN Safe Zone” Srebrenica from July 1995 was held on Wednesday at the Srebrenica-Potocari Memorial Center.

The meeting concluded that the 25th anniversary of the genocide will be marked on July 11, as previously planned, according to Klix.ba news portal.

“In the past period during the coronavirus pandemic, the entire Organizing Committee did not meet, but there were closer meetings and talks. Today we met in an expanded composition with the presidents of the subcommittees and one representative of the association that gathers genocide survivors, to see The commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the genocide will be held taking into account the measures in force during that period. Measures and restrictions due to the situation we are in have limited our preparations, but we want to inform the public that the 25th anniversary of the genocide against Bosniaks will be marked. ” , said Hamdija Fejzic, president of the Organizing Committee for the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the genocide against Bosniaks of the “UN Security Council” Srebrenica from July 1995.
