Chamber Theater 55 had a very successful season, considering awards and numerous appearances on scenes outside of B&H, as well as guest appearances of other theaters on its scene, said Director of Chamber Theater 55, Dragan Jovičić, recalling that they have realized three premieres last year.
A total of 164 different programs, attended by over 25,000 spectators, were held on the Chamber Theater scene in the last year alone. The theater was also visited by as many as 16 foreign ensembles, mostly from countries in the region, like Croatia and Serbia, but Italy and Portugal as well.
“The Chamber Theater has always been open for other theaters, and it will remain the same in the future, because that is our purpose and our mission – to connect with others and delete boundaries,” said Jovičić.
The ensemble of this theater house has appeared at five competitive festivals, where it received as many as 18 awards. Among the most important guest appearances realized until now are those in Mexico and Canada.
“Among all the awards we have received, we should allocate the champion of the Chamber Theatre 55, Emir Hadzihafizbegovic, who won the award for artistic achievement by the Republic of Croatia, the ‘’Vladimir Nazor Award,’’ Jovičić emphasized.
