Due to showers accompanied by thunder, an orange weather alarm has been activated for almost the entire Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Federal Hydrometeorological Institute of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced that the orange weather alert has been activated for the regions of Bihać (from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.), Livno (from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.), Sarajevo (from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.), Tuzla (from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.), Banja Luka ( from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.), Foča (from noon to 7 p.m.), Prijedor (from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.), and Višegrad (from noon to 7 p.m.).
As they stated, 15-30 liters of rain may fall per square meter, accompanied by thunder and strong gusts of wind.
“Be prepared to protect yourself and your property. Flooding of property and traffic networks is possible. Disruption in the supply of electricity, water and communications is possible. Minor evacuation may be required. Difficult driving conditions due to reduced visibility and uncontrolled movement of vehicles due to water” , they stated from Federal Hydrometeorological Centre.
