BiH Citizens prevented from Smuggling Nine foreign Citizens

Members of the Border Police Unit of BiH Zvornik, with the assistance of members of the State Agency for Investigation and Protection who provide assistance to the Border Police of BiH in monitoring the state border, on Thursday prevented the smuggling of nine people of Afro-Asian origin in the border zone in the area of Zvornik.

Two citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina who smuggled foreign citizens from the Republic of Serbia to the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina in two BiH vehicles are connected with this smuggling. national marks, it was reported from the Border Police of BiH.

Due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that the criminal offense of “person smuggling” was committed, the on-duty prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH was informed of the said event, according to whose orders the citizens of BiH were questioned as suspects, and a report on the criminal offense of “person smuggling” will be submitted to the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH against a person.

The smuggled foreign nationals did not have identification documents, and in the migrant questionnaires they stated that they came from Afghanistan.

Further work on these smuggled persons will be continued by members of the Service for Affairs with Foreigners of Bosnia and Herzegovina, according to the statement.
