23rd ‘List’ Tourism and Ecology Fair opened

The 23rd International Tourism and Ecology Fair “List” was ceremoniously opened in Lukavac.

Traditionally, this fair is, in addition to the exhibition of tourism potentials, an opportunity for tourism workers, through lectures and the exchange of experiences with their colleagues, to become acquainted with new potentials and opportunities for improving their tourism products.

The fair will be open until May 10th, and the Government of the Tuzla Canton (TC) is a co-organizer.

This fair will be an opportunity to exchange regional experiences, and as in every year so far, the fair will be accompanied by presentations of gastronomic offerings. Through seminars and lectures, new knowledge in the field of tourism will be offered to tourism workers, which should contribute to the improvement of the tourism offer.

The Prime Minister of the TC, Irfan Halilagic, who also opened the Fair, pointed out that the TC still ranks only sixth in the number of arrivals in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH), with a share of 5.7 percent, and that this obliges us to ask ourselves – are we doing enough? Have we used everything that nature, history, and man have given us?

“To these questions, a kind of answer is also offered by the vision of tourism development of the TC – a vision that gathers all key actors: from tourists, through institutions and investors, to every individual who experiences this region as their home. That vision, framed in the Tourism Development Strategy of the TC 2024-2029, teaches us that tourism in the TC should be recognizable, sustainable, multicultural, and innovative – tourism that preserves its heritage, while at the same time providing a unique and unforgettable experience to guests from the country and abroad,” said Halilagic, as stated by the Information Department of the Government of the TC.
