29 New Cases of COVID-19 Infection in Sarajevo Canton

In the past few days, the number of people infected with coronavirus in the Sarajevo Canton has increased. Currently, 31 cases of COVID-19 infection are active in Sarajevo Canton, Vijesti.ba news portal reports.

In the period from June 6th to 12th, a total of 29 newly infected persons were confirmed.

In the same period, 846 tests were processed. A total of 9,152 people were tested in Sarajevo Canton, and the share of positive tests was 2%, including retests.

Analyzing the age and gender structure, it was found that 15 (48.3%) were infected male and 16 (51.7%) female.

A total of 14 (45.2%) infected persons under the age of 35 were infected, with a further nine (29%) persons aged 36 to 50 years. Six (19.4%) were infected between the ages of 51 and 64.

Two (2) persons older than 75 years were infected and all persons, as well as their contacts, were placed in self-isolation.

Currently, based on the decision of the Cantonal Administration for Inspection Affairs, as well as the decision of the Ministry of Health of Canton Sarajevo on home isolation, a total of 176 people are in self-isolation.
