dm raceMore than 350 participants successfully finished the first women’s race in the organization of the company “dm” that was held on Wilson’s Promenade in Sarajevo. Thus, the capital city of BiH joined the list of European cities where this popular race is being held in the organization of the dm.

Experienced runners took part in the 1st dm race for women in BiH, as well as women that are recreationally running. The winner was Biljana Cvijanovic, who ran 3.5 kilometers with the time 11:45:90. On the second place was Alma Hrnjic, who finished the race with the time 12:15:60, and the third place went to Adela Comor who finished the race with the time 12:57:17.

Regardless of their placement, all participants received a gift from the company dm and their partners: Catrice, Ebelin, Ella, Essence, Nivea, Rauch, Violeta, and Wilkinson.

This event took place in a sign of socially responsible activism, and dm decided to give additional support to the process of popularization of running and promotion of athletics and handed over a donation of 3.000 BAM to athletic club Novi Grad on this occasion.

“We are very pleased with the response to the first women’s race that we organized with the aim of promoting healthy and active lifestyle among women. We chose the 3.5km challenge for the beginning, and we believe that many participants recognized it as an attractive path for their Sunday activities. I believe that we spent a couple of hours in a good and quality way, and we are planning to make the women’s race a tradition and an unavoidable event for all ladies that are engaged in running,” said Ajla Hadzic, the Marketing Manager of the dm company.

“I am happy to see that athletics is becoming a recognizable sport for renowned companies because their influence can give a significant contribution to the progress of “little” sports. This donation will help in the further work of our club and we are very grateful for this gift. These funds will be directed to the supply of training equipment that will be used by our members. This is a recognition that we are doing a good job and motivation for further progress, and we promise that we will try to be the best club possible,” said Elmir Cerimagic, the President of the athletic club Novi Grad.
