In Mostar, the final preparations for the 456th traditional high jumps from the Old Bridge are coming to an end, which will gather the best jumpers from BH and the region on Sunday, July 31.

The plateau under the Old Bridge has already been decorated, and as part of the activities for the big event, a wooden bridge over the Radobolje River, a stage for the ceremony, and an area for the audience who will watch the spectacle live under the Old Bridge have been built.

Jumpers are specially prepared for spectacular jumps and can be seen every day in the unique atmosphere of the old city center and about 200 meters downstream from the Old Bridge, jumping on the newly built ski jumps.

The president of the Mostari Diving Club, Lorens Listo, tells Klix.ba that great competition is expected in the fight for the title this year, and that new young forces from the diving school will also appear at the UNESCO monument.

“This year there will be strong competition from jumpers coming from all over the region. We will also have several minors who will jump from Stari most to Neretva with the consent of their parents, and special prizes for the youngest participants,” Listo told Klix.ba.

The competition will begin on Sunday, July 31 at 4:00 p.m., after all the jumpers have passed a medical examination, and will be held as every year in two series and two categories, namely the jump on the feet and the jump on the head, which is widely known as the “Mostar swallow”.
