The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina made a decision not to open an investigation against Milorad Dodik and others regarding the criminal complaint filed by SDS, PDP, Lista za pradvu i order and Narodni Front alleging that electoral fraud was committed in the 2022 general elections.
The Prosecutor’s Office explained that there are no grounds for suspecting that the reported persons have committed the criminal acts charged against them.
The report related to organized crime related to the criminal acts of election fraud, violation of voting, violation of the secrecy of voting and destruction of election documents.
The opposition claimed that there had been a violation of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Srpska, namely a violation of voters’ freedom of choice, abuse of voting rights, violation of voting secrecy, election fraud and destruction of election documents.
The Prosecutor’s Office informed PDP leader Branislav Borenović about the failure to conduct the investigation, who announced the decision on the “X” social network, saying it was shameful.
“Another indicator that there is a clear connection between the judiciary and the ruling SNSD political structure, that inaction, non-reproach and impunity of electoral corruption, as well as any other corruption, has unfortunately become a model of behavior and living in this country. A catastrophic message is being sent, in front of another elections, that electoral theft is allowed,” stated Borenović.
