Parliamentary Military Commissioner of BiH Boško Šiljegović spoke yesterday with Brigadier General Anreas Roter, the doyen of the military and diplomatic corps in BiH.
The Brigadier General took the occasion to assess the current work of the Office of the Parliamentary Military Commission of BiH and expressed satisfaction that institutions in BiH that are responsible for protecting human rights and freedom of military personnel and cadets in the Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces of BiH.
Also, General Roter especially commended the cooperation of the Parliamentary Military Commissioner of BIH with Commissioner for the Federal Armed Forces of Austria, which was expressed through a series of useful bilateral meetings.
Given that Roter is also the representative of the military attaché accredited in BiH, he expressed his wish to organize a presentation of work and a plan for future activities of the Office of Parliamentary Military Commission of BiH, as well as to begin to personally participate in a visit to one of the units of the Armed Forces of BiH in order to gain insight into the work of the office.
At the end of the meeting, Anderas Roter gave his full support to the organization of a regional conference planned for March of this year. The goal would be to present good practices in the protection of human rights and freedom of members of the Armed Forces. The representatives of the Austrian Embassy in BiH and the Austrian Parliament would attend it.
