In workshops, which were financed by USAID/Sida FARMA and realized by the Agency for cooperation, education and development (ACED), for writing project proposals to various foundations and institutions 35 women from 23 different association of BiH have participated.

Thanks to these workshops, which were held in late December 2012 in Banjaluka and in Pale, 18 municipalities of BiH now have educated personnel for writing project proposals.

The objective of this training was that women from rural areas meet the demands of donors and prepare themselves for writing projects to donors and other available funds.

There is already a number of projects for rural development in BiH, but those funds are not efficiently used because of the lack of skills in preparing the projects.

Women from Srebrenica, Bratunac, Tuzla, Vlasenica, Foča, Istočno Sarajevo, Han-Pijesak, Prnjavor, Banja Luka, Čelinac, Nevesinje, Jezero, Doboj, Trebinje, Trnovo, Sokolac, Milići i Visoko participated in the training programs.

In the period to come, ACED will actively cooperate with all successful participants of the workshops, so that they could put their ideas into concrete projects and sent to existing support programs.
