After obtaining the necessary permits and completing the infrastructure works at the Blazuj oil terminal, 42 million liters of oil and gasoline were delivered yesterday by rail from the Ploce terminal to the terminal in Blazuj.

In the previous period, the railway crossing and industrial track were repaired, and through a public procurement procedure, a fuel supplier for the functional test was selected.

With this, the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH), for the first time after 30 years, gained the ability to transport large quantities of oil and derivatives by rail, as well as to store and transfer them onto tank trucks.

By connecting the maritime terminal in Ploce and the land terminal in Blazuj, safe transport is ensured, and the capacities for mandatory reserves are strengthened in accordance with European Union (EU) directives.

In the conditions of changed and dynamic processes on the global oil market, creating the basis for the storage of oil and oil derivatives represents a key segment in establishing reserves for the FBiH, Klix.ba writes.
