After more than a year and a half, the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo (KCUS) has officially received a new director.
Namely, as unofficially confirmed from multiple sources, the federal minister of health, Nediljko Rimac, gave approval for the appointment of Alen Pilav.
It should be recalled that his appointment was proposed by the new Management Board of KCUS.
For months, Minister Nediljko Rimac refused to sign approval for the previously top-ranked Ismet Gavrankapetanovic. He stated that he did not give approval, claiming that the candidate does not meet the requirements to perform this function.
The largest healthcare institution in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH)has been without a general director since November 27th, 2023, when Sebija Izetbegovic (SDA) was dismissed.
The position of acting director was first held by Alen Pilav, and then by Hajrija Maksic, who was decided to remain in the acting role until a new general director is appointed.
