Ambassador of BiH to the Holy See Slavica Karačić gave the letters of Credence to the Pope Benedict XVI in Vatican.

Ambassador Karačić thanked the Pope for peace efforts of the Holy See, and continuing efforts for the prosperity of BiH.

During talks she informed the Pope about the efforts of BiH politicians to come to a resolution of the constitutional changes in BiH, which is a precondition for the continuation of the European path of BiH

The pope congratulated the Ambassador on assuming the duty and wished her a pleasant stay, and added that BiH and the Holy See have good relations that are based on signed Basic Treaty between the two countries and its implementation.

The Pope also expressed his interest in socio-economic relations and stated his support for BiH.
