Ambassador of Japan to BiH attended the Handover Ceremony of an Ambulance Vehicle

On the 18th of October 2023, Ambassador KINEFUCHI attended the handover ceremony within the “Project for Equipping Family Medicine Clinic Pelagicevo with an Ambulance Vehicle and Medical Equipment”, which was held in the premises of the Family Medicine Clinic Pelagićevo, in the presence of Mr. Slaven Tešić, Mayor of Pelagićevo Municipality.

The Mayor, Mr. Tešić expressed his gratitude for the donated ambulance and medical equipments installed in the ambulance. Since there is only district clinic in the city, the patients who have severe conditions or dialysis, need to be transported to the nearby Health Care Cenre. Hence, the Mayor expects that the donated ambulance will contribute greatly to the improvement of emergency transportation for its citizens.

Ambassador KINEFUCHI expressed his satisfaction that the project has been successfully completed and hopes that this assistance will be of great benefit to the residents of the municipality of Pelagićevo and beyond.

Through the program “Basic Grant of Assistance for Human Security Projects (GAGP)” Japan granted 50,412 EUR (approximately 98,600 BAM) to equip the Family Medicine Clinic Pelagićevo with an ambulance vehicle and medical equipment. The project is expected to contribute to the improvement of transportation service and timely provision of medical aid for approximately 320 patients annualy.
