The Ambassador of Japan, H.E. Masami KINEFUCHI, will attend the handover ceremony of sports equipment to the Karate Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which will be held on Thursday, 1 August 2024 in Hotel Hollywood in Ilidža, at 10:00h.
The Japan Karatedo Federation has provided the Karate Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina with 199 items of equipment, including 100 tatami mats, Karate belts for competition, Karate uniforms and protectors for Karate matches.
Japan has a strong relationship with Bosnia and Herzegovina through sport, as evidenced by the provision of equipment such as judo and gymnastics equipment, and Mr. Osim was a former coach of the Japanese national football team.
Many people in Bosnia are familiar with Karate, and the two countries aim to use the provision of equipment as a starting point to develop Karate exchanges between both countries in the future, it was stated by the Embassy of Japan in BiH.
