After yesterday’s gas explosion at the Energetika plant, which occurred at Nova Željezara Zenica at 4:25 p.m., an investigation was also carried out today at a place that was only secured – confirmed Lejla Ekinović, spokeswoman for the Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Zenica-Doboj Canton.
Due to security reasons, i.e. the risk of a new explosion, the investigation was carried out only today from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and it was carried out by officers of the Criminal Police Department of the Police Department I.
The investigation was led by the prosecutor of the ZDK Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office, Adis Husić, on whose orders the inspector for fire protection of the ZDK MUP, then the occupational safety inspector of the ZDK Cantonal Administration for Inspection Affairs and an expert from the mechanical engineering profession attended the investigation.
Three people were injured in the explosion
“The prosecutor issued an order to carry out the necessary expertise to an expert in the field of mechanical engineering for the purpose of determining the cause of the above-mentioned explosion. The officers of the Criminal Police Department will undertake all measures and actions by order of the Cantonal Prosecutor of the ZDK Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office, in order to determine all the circumstances of the occurrence of the aforementioned explosion,” Ekinović pointed out.
Let us remind you that in the explosion that caused the fire, three people were injured, two of them slightly.
Minor injuries were sustained by M.M. from Prijedor and N.A. from Zenica, while M.K. from Begovo Han near Žepče, born in 1967, sustained serious injuries on that occasion and was transported to the Sarajevo University Clinical Center.
More seriously injured is Mirnes Kamerić, who is placed in the intensive care unit.
