Analysis: Increase in Price Level in September

The prices of goods and services used for personal consumption in Bosnia and Herzegovina, measured by the Consumer Price Index, increased by an average of 0.5 percent in September compared to August.

According to the BiH Agency for Statistics, clothing and footwear are on average 4.2 percent more expensive, food and non-alcoholic beverages 0.4 percent more expensive than household furniture and appliances.

In September, alcoholic beverages and tobacco were up 0.1 percent on average over August, housing, water, electricity, gas and other energy, up 0.3 percent, transportation and restaurants and hotels being more expensive, and healthcare is 0.2 percent more expensive and other goods and services 0.5 percent more expensive.

Recreation and culture in September were on average 0.6 percent cheaper than in August, and education 0.1 percent cheaper.

The price level in September this year, compared to September last year, increased by 0.3 percent, Federal News Agency reports.
