In October 2018, when the section on the Banja Luka – Doboj highway was opened, the Republika Srpska entity overtook the Federation of BiH (FBiH) in the number of kilometers of the highway.

However, in the past few years, the number of kilometers of highways in FBiH has increased, so it currently amounts to 126.5 km, as stated on the official website of JP Autoceste FBiH (Motorways of the FBiH).

Enough or not

In BiH, the highway on Corridor VC from the northern border with the Republic of Croatia extends in the direction: Svilaj – Odzak – Modrica – Doboj – Zenica – Kakanj – Visoko – Sarajevo – Konjic – Jablanica – Mostar – Capljina – the southern border with the Republic of Croatia, in the town of Bijaca.

The section on the VC Tarcin-Ivan corridor is 6.9 kilometers long, while the Svilaj-Odzak section is 10.7 kilometers long.

The busiest section is precisely Sarajevo – Zenica, which is approximately 70 kilometers long. The part of the highway on Corridor Vc, the so-called Zenica bypass, consists of three subsections, Drivusa – Klopce, Klopce – Donja Gracanica, and a part of the Donja Gracanica – Zenica Tunnel subsection with a total length of 11 kilometers.

When it comes to sections related to Herzegovina, more precisely Medjugorje – Bijaca, it is 10 kilometers of highway.

Two highways

On the official website of Autoputevi Republika Srpska (RS) it is stated that the current number of kilometers of highways in this entity is approximately 106 kilometers. These are two highways, the highway Bosanska Gradiska – Banja Luka, which is 34 kilometers long, and the highway Banja Luka – Doboj, which is 72 kilometers long, Biznis Info reports.
