water2Control of drinking water quality in the public water supply system is done every day, on weekends and holidays as well. Drinking water is controlled in laboratories for quality control of water, announces the KJKP “Water and sewage”.

Microbiological and physical – chemical analysis, in accordance with the Regulation on health safety of drinking water is done regularly as well.

Every day, around 30 samples of water are analyzed, and the results confirm that the water in the public water supply system is of stable quality and safe.

In order to ensure and maintain the microbiological quality of drinking water, chlorine is added. According to the Rules on the sanitary quality of drinking water, the maximum concentration of chlorine in drinking water permitted is 0.5 mg / L.

The concentration of chlorine in our system is regularly monitored in places and dosing of chlorine is 0.3 mg / L.

Citizens are kindly asked to let the water run for about ten minutes after each interruption in water supply. The clear water, which comes from the distribution pipeline to the water after a break in the water supply, according to the results of previous tests, are safe.
