ANDERSSON: ŽELIMO DA LJUDI NAUÈE VIŠE O GENOCIDU U SREBRENICIGatherings to commemorate Srebrenica genocide will be held tomorrow in cities around Sweden. The main event will be organized in Stockholm and then in  Eskilstuna, Flen, Falkenberg, Gävle, Lulea, Kristinehamn, Örebro, and the organizers are local anti-racist organizations gathered in group Tillsammansskapet.

The organizer of the event in Flen is Therese Andersson, a member of local anti-racist initiative “Tillsammans and Flen”. She announced for Fena that on Friday wants to attack the attention of public on the genocide that happened in Srebrenica, on 11 July, 1995.

“Political situation in Sweden and in the entire Europe is similar to what it looked like in former Yugoslavia, in the beginning of 1990. Nationalistic parties are gaining more and more space in politics, which we consider very disturbing. Last time that it happened, ended with genocide”, said Andersson.

Her organization is active for already two years and they organize activities and campaigns in an attempt to integrate people who have left their countries and came to Flen, to integrate them in society.

“We want to show people that is possible to live together, regardless of differences”, emphasized Andersson.

“We want people to understand that they can live together even if they come from different places. We want people to understand what happened the last time when Nationalistic Parties came to power and to help them learn more about the genocide in Srebrenica. Never forget Srebrenica”, stated Andresson.
