Another BH Film nominated for Oscar?

film Ena SerdijarevicA short film by Ena Sendijarevic “Import”, which was created in the Bosnian-Dutch production, was nominated for an Oscar in the category Live Action Short.

A short film that was directed by Bosnian Ena Sendijarevic received the support of an independent committee of the Dutch film professionals.

The film was premiered at the Cannes Film Festival. It was created by Pupkin Production from Amsterdam, and the story is about integration from the perspective of a Bosnian family that received a residence permit in the Netherlands.

It was also elected for screening in more than 20 international film festivals, and some of them are in Toronto, London and Kosovo.

Director Ena Sendijarevic was born in BiH in 1987, and she came in the Netherlands when she was 7 years old as a refuge. She graduated in Berlin and Amsterdam, where she teaches at the Department of Scenario at the Dutch Film Academy.

“Import” is the fourth short film by this young director, and her debut film “Travellers Into the Night” was screened at many festivals and has won several international awards.
