April Fools Day, 1 April-Day When We Laugh at Our and Others Expense

April Fools Day is celebrated on 1 April. It is a day where people attempt to play jokes with each other, and experts say that humor helps people to relax and forget their daily routines for a moment.

The origins of April Fools Day has many theories, none of which can verify its origins.

However, that fact is that many people and cultures at the beginning of April celebrate this day, which could perhaps be tied to the departure of winter and the coming of spring, which contributes to a better mood.

According to one theory, Romans and Hindus celebrated the spring equinox beginning on 25 March and with an end on 1 April for the New Year.

When Pope Gregor XIII 1582 exchanged the Julian calendar for a new Gregorian calendar, under which New Year is celebrated on 1 January, many new dates were not willing to be accepted or they did not know about them, so they ended up celebrating according to the old dates.

Due to this, people who celebrated the old dates were made fun of and had practical jokes played on them. Later, this practice extended throughout Europe. Since the British introduced the Gregorian calendar in 1752, and by then April Fool’s jokes were already known, the credibility of this theory was brought into question.

According to a theory by Professor Joseph Boskin from Boston University, the Roman Emperor Constantine allowed Kugel to be the “king for a day” because the jesters made him laugh by telling him they would rule the empire better than he could.

According to another theory, an anonymous sixteen-year old girl was scheduled on this day to meet the French King Henry IV, who was known for having a preference for young girls, in a discreet ‘meeting’ in the castle. His wife showed up instead of the girl as a joke inflicted on the king.

Basically, whatever the origin and authenticity of the explanations, it is true that laughter increases your health. When we laugh, we are more laid back, healthier and more beautiful.

April 1st is April Fools Day-A day when we use harmless jokes and tricks and treats and sweet laughs at our and other people’s expense.
