Parents often name their children after people who are important to them at that moment or whom they simply love. When Nermina and Dervis Begovic from Switzerland found out that they are expecting a son, they decided to name him after the BH Dragon Asmir Begovic.
The goalkeeper of the BH national team got a namesake in both first and last name and, who knows, maybe even an heir in sports.
“I am delighted and proud that this cute baby was named after me, and it was my pleasure to meet the whole family. I wish them a lot of luck and a happy life”, Begovic wrote on his official Facebook page.
