(FOTO FENA/EMIR BURLOVIC)The completion of works on the construction of the Asylum Center in Delijaš, in municipality Trnovo is expected by summer 2014. The B&H Assistant Minister of Security for asylum Marijan Baotić told Fena Agency that this asylum center will house exclusively foreigners who express an intention for international protection (asylum) at the B&H border crossing, or who do so after they enter the country.

‘’The center for accommodating people who seek international protection/asylum in B&H will fully comply with all the standards that apply to this category and will have higher standards than countries in the region, so we are free to say even some EU countries’’, said Baotić.

The Center will have 150 beds, with an option to expand the capacity if it is necessary. The total value of the project is 5.022.305 BAM. The EU Delegation to B&H provided 2.933.745 BAM, and the B&H Ministry of Security gave 2.088.560 BAM.
