Azaiza in Sarajevo: First Day in BiH, and I felt support like nowhere else

Brave Palestinian journalist and photographer Motaz Azaiza, who publishes daily from war-torn Gaza, arrived in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where he shared with his friends on social networks his enthusiasm for the capital and the support he felt in Sarajevo.

He posted a photo on his Instagram from the bridge near the City Hall, where a banner supporting the Palestinians in Gaza was placed. The banner lists all the dates of the massacre of Palestinians over the years.

Then he published two videos, from Baščaršija and from Titova Street, in which Palestinian flags can be seen.

In the description of one video, he wrote that he noticed the great support of the people of Sarajevo and the women of Sarajevo for the Palestinians, and that he had not felt anywhere else.

“It’s my first day in Bosnia and Herzegovina and I really feel the love of everyone here. They stand by Palestine like no other,” he wrote.

The reason for his arrival in the capital of our country is participation in the seminar “From the Balkans to Gaza: Critical Analysis of Genocide”. He will be one of the speakers at that seminar, which will be held on July 10 at 5 p.m., at the National Theater in Sarajevo.
