A six-month-old baby boy Arslan Kulacic, who was diagnosed with a brain tumour immediately after birth, and he was transfered to Acibadem Clinic in Istanbul. After an emergency surgery in this healthcare institution, he started receiving his first chemotherapy, and he should continue receiving them over the next 18 months.

The case of a baby boy Arslan drew the attention of the entire BH public, and a large number of citizens united with the aim to collect the money that is needed for his treatment.

Baby Arslan was operated at UCC Tuzla on November 6, 2017, when he was just four months old, but his tumour returned despite the successful surgery and it grew after a while. The second surgery in BiH was not possible because Arslan was very little, and the treatment had to be continued in Turkey.

After review of all the documentation, Turkish doctors recommended 18 months of chemotherapy treatment.

These are “Induksyon” therapies – one session is taken in three weeks (five seasons in about six months) and “Idame” therapies – sessions are received for 30 days (a total of eight sessions that will last for about a year).

After he was admitted to the clinic, Arslan went to a surgery, and after it was successfully completed, baby Arslan woke up. A port, through which he will receive his chemotherapy treatments, was also prepared and built in.
