Balkans’ Memory Closing Conference to be Held

balkans memoryThe closing conference of Balkans’ Memory project will take place in Sarajevo on November 19, 2014, celebrating three years of training activities and know-how and good practices’ exchange aimed at supporting an ambitious policy for the digitization and promotion of the audiovisual heritage in the Western Balkans.

The conference will gather professionals working in Radio-televisions, film and national archives sectors from Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, FYR Macedonia, Kosovo*, Montenegro, Serbia and from the neighbouring countries. For this occasion, speakers will present the three-year project assessment and will then address three main issues: training and networks, gathering and mutualising resources and means, fundraising and financial opportunities for the preservation, digitization and promotion of the audiovisual heritage in the South-Eastern European countries.

The event will take place at the hotel Europe in Sarajevo, hosted by BHRT, the National Film Archives of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the French National Audiovisual Institute (INA), in association with the partner institutions of the project.

Balkans’ Memory is a project co-funded by the European Union and led by Ina through its centre for expertise Ina EXPERT, in partnership with the Croatian audiovisual centre, the National Film Archive of Albania and COPEAM.
