Banja Luka and Moscow should be connected by the flight that will be established from April, Republika Srpska Minister of Transport and Communications Nedo Trninic confirmed.
Trninic said that the Ministry of Transport and Communications and Administration of the Banja Luka Airport conducted negotiations with a private company from Russia on the introduction of this airlines.
“We have a concrete contract proposal on the table, if everything goes as planned and we expect it will, we will have flights to Moscow from Banja Luka from April. We plan three flights a week and we work on this business very active and we are on the right track to realize it,” Trninić told Vecernje Novosti.
He reminded that it was earlier agreed to launch the Banja Luka – Berlin line and added that this year they are also expecting an agreement on the introduction of a flight to Greece.
Also, there is a plan to extend the runway at Banja Luka airport and to rearrange the reception building and all accompanying facilities at the airport.
“By opening the three lines in cooperation with Ryanair and negotiating the fourth with Berlin, last year we made remarkable moves in the aviation of Republika Srpska, we have changed our approach and there was a record number of passengers, but we will not stop there but continue,” says Trninic.
