AconcaguaAfter they conquered the highest peaks of Europe and Africa- Elbrus and Kilimanjaro, members of the alpine mountaineering club ‘Samit’ from Banja Luka, Miroslav Trivić and Miroslav Bundalo will embark on an exhibition to Aconcagua, the highest peak in South America. On this occasion, the mountain climbers were received by Mayor of Banja Luka Slobodan Gavranović, who confirmed that the city supports the climbers in the organization of their trip. Mayor Gavranović handed Bundalo and Trivić the flag of the city of Banja Luka and said that he hopes they will display the flag on the highest peak of South America.

Alpinist Miroslav Bundalo said that the preparations are complete, and that they are fully prepared to go to Argentina and climb Aconcagua. He admitted that Aconcagua is so far the most serious ‘test’, and the severity of the expedition can testify to the fact that at the top of the mountains, at an altitude of 6.962 meters, the temperature drops to -40 degrees Celcius.

They left for the trip yesterday, which is part of a project ‘Seven peaks’, which implies the conquering of the highest peaks on seven continents.
