The mayor of Banja Luka, Drasko Stanivukovic, announced his arrival at the ‘big meeting’ organized by the president of the Republika Srpska (RS) entity, Milorad Dodik, which will take place on Thursday, April 18th.
In announcing his arrival at this “big meeting”, Stanivukovicsaid that it was “his duty”.
“Of course, it is my duty to be there wherever necessary and to give my maximum contribution. My duty is to invite all the people of Banja Luka, all our citizens, not only from Banja Luka, the entire RS, but I, as a host in Banja Luka, certainly have the greatest responsibility. I hereby invite all to respond to the gathering that says that we should all be united, that there is no politics or political party that can have the opposite opinionof the one that we are not a genocidal nation, that we have lived through the sacrifice, that we are the ones who suffered,” Stanivukovic stated.
The main reason for the organization of Dodik’s rally is the announced adoption of the Resolution on the genocide in Srebrenica, where Serbia, the entity of the RS, and the Serbs are not mentioned at any point.
Stanivukovic then denied the genocide in Srebrenica.
“I am sure and I know that the representatives of the PDP will support this report, which is true, that genocide did not happen in Srebrenica and that we are not the people that they want to label us and that we will all respond to a large rally to providesupport,” Stanivukovic said.
To recall, on July 23rd, 2021, High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Valentin Inzko imposed a ban on denying genocide and glorifying convicted war criminals in BiH.
This criminal offense carries a sentence of six months to five years in prison, Klix.ba reports.
