The city of Banja Luka will return funds in the amount of 570,000 BAM to the local community by reducing administrative fees on annual basis, and these funds can be further reinvested in the development, as concluded on the promotion of the results of the project for attracting investments and improving the business environment “Life”, which is implemented by the IFC, a member of the World Banks Group, and the British Embassy in BiH.
Thanks to the implementation of the recommendations given by the IFC experts, Banja Luka managed to improve the work of the city administration, which can be seen in the increase of work efficiency, as well as in the reduction of administrative fees.
Saving money and time represents a result of the elimination of documents or their procurement on the official basis, the change of form, the abolition or decrease of administrative fees, and the reduction of time needed to complete and answer the request of the investor.
The achieved results represent a clear indicator of a successfully implemented reform in the field of the increase of the work effectiveness of the city administration. A special incentive for the establishment of new business subjects is in the recently abolished fee for the registration of first entrepreneurial activity, which is now performed within only two days and without the need for the applicant to go to the Tax Administration Office, as announced by the IFC.
