Baždarević analyzes the BiH – Spain Match

bazdarevicAfter the national football team of Bosnia and Herzegovina was defeated by Spain (3:1) in the friendly match played in St. Gallen, the coach of the BiH national team Mehmed Baždarević addressed the media at a press conference.

The coach is not satisfied with the play in the opening of the match and highlighted that one serious team cannot allow that. Speaking of young players, he praised Duljević.

“I am not satisfied with the play in all 90 minutes. One serious team cannot open a match so frivolously. We helped a team which does not need help a lot to achieve two goals. After that, we played better and more aggressive.  I am sorry that the result is not better, because I think we maybe deserved 2:2, maybe 3:2. Frivolity from the beginning of the match cannot happen again. Exclusion of Spahić disturbed us, but we were somehow even more concentrated and we played very well. However, we did not manage to tie,” said Baždarević and added: “Several young players have proven that we can count on them. Duljević showed a lot.”

When he was asked to say something about the move of Emir Spahić for which the 35-year-old stopper earned a red card, the coach said that there is no justification for that, but that he did not see very clearly what actually happened.

“To be honest, I did not see. That cannot be justified, it disturbs everything. You must keep nerves in such moments,” the coach said.
